Eat, Pray, Love
Why Eat, Pray, Love and Mount Kosciuszko
There is not a direct link between Eat, Pray, Love and Australia. I had hoped to recommend this book when I went to Bali, as Indonesia was one of the places Gilbert went during her year of discovery, but I ended up having to detour away from Bali. However, Eat, Pray, Love is a must recommendation as it was an inspiration for me to take my own year of discovery in my own way.
More About Eat, Pray, Love
Eat, Pray, Love: One Woman’s Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia is a 2006 memoir by American author Elizabeth Gilbert. The movie rights for the memoir were purchased by Columbia Pictures. The film version, which stars Julia Roberts and Javier Bardem, was released in theaters on August 13, 2010.
Gilbert followed up this book with Committed: A Skeptic Makes Peace with Marriage, released through Viking in January 2010. It covered her life after Eat, Pray, Love, plus an exploration of the concept of marriage.
